The Hi-Ex Charity Auction in 2008 was a lot of fun and raised raised a considerable sum of money for our chosen charity Children 1st. Many thanks to everyone who helped make the auction such a success by donating items and / or bidding for some of our unique goodies!

Here are just some of the incredible items that were donated to the convention!

A gorgeous A3 fully-inked pin-up of Predator X by Trevor Hairsine, which was "the very last thing I did for Marvel." Trevor's also generously donated a pencil version of the pin-up and an A4 sketch version (which will be one of the Hi-Ex raffle prizes!).

For more of Trevor's stunning artwork, see his page on The Art of Comics website.

We have two gloriously detailed Anderson: Psi Division pencil pages from the Judge Dredd Megazine strip, drawn to perfection by one of the most amazing and unique artists around: Mr Boo Cook!

Because the story has yet to see print in the Megazine, we're not going to show you Boo's pages in their entirety, just these two panels to give you a little taste of how good they are!

Rufus Dayglo has donated his original artwork for the Hi-Ex poster to the charity auction. The Dennis the Menace and Gnasher pics are A4 size, while Judge Dredd is a whopping A3!

Again, web limitations prevent us from showing you this image in a scale that does it justice.

Artist extraordinaire Liam Sharp has generously donated this pair of stunning A3 size (297mm x 420mm, or 11.7" x 16.5") pencil sketches: The Huntress and Killer Croc, drawn on official DC Comics paper!

The limitations of the web prevent us from showing you these masterpieces in the manner in which they deserve, but trust us: they are magnificent and a more-than-worthy addition to anyone's collection!

Legendary comic writer John Wagner (creator of Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog, to name but two) has kindly donated two signed hardback copies of his acclaimed Star Wars graphic novel Boba Fett: Death, Lies and Treachery, featuring typically superlative art by Hi-Ex guest Cam Kennedy!
