Asia Alfasi
Asia Alfasi is a Manga writer/artist currently living in Birmingham. She was born in Lybia and moved
to Scotland as a child. She was the first female to win
the highly regarded Hi8us Midlands Stripsearch competition.
Her graphic novel Native Narratives, dealing with the events in the
life of a young Muslim girl in Lybia and Scotland, was released in 2008. |

Michael Carroll
Michael Carroll is the author of fifteen published books, including the New Heroes series
for younger readers. He has also written comic strips and articles for 2000 AD,
FutureQuake, Zarjaz, SFX, Judge Dredd Megazine and Solar Wind,
to name but a few.

Al Davison
Al first appeared on the comics scene with his ground-breaking autobiographical work The Spiral Cage,
widely considered to be one of the most important comics ever published.
He has since worked on The Dreaming, Hellblazer, Teknophage, Vermillion among others.
He's a expert in a wide range of different styles, and his work has been described by Neil Gaiman as "A religious experience, akin to dreaming with your eyes open."

Gary Erskine
Gary has been illustrating for nineteen years and contributed character
designs and storyboards for television, commercials and games development
for every major comics company, as well as licensed
properties such as Star Wars, Terminator, The Mask,
Shrek, Madagascar and Transformers. He is
currently working with Garth Ennis on the new Dan Dare. |

Al Ewing
A regular contributor to 2000 AD, Al Ewing began his career as a contributor to many
small-press comics, such as Solar Wind, FutureQuake, Dogbreath, Zarjaz
and The End Is Nigh. His first novel - Pax Britannia: El Sombra - was published in
2007 by Abaddon Books.

Leigh Gallagher
Leigh has been a professional comic artist for 6 years, drawing The Witching and Justice
League Unlimited for DC COMICS, and most recently LEGO Bionicle, based on the popular
toy line. He co created 2000 AD's Defoe with legendary writer Pat Mills, and is
currently illustrating Book 3 of the zombie hunter series. |

Alan Grant
Alan Grant is best known for his comic work on Batman and Judge Dredd.
He was the only UK writer on the hit BBC TV kids' show Ace Lightning and is
currently writing the script for an animated movie.

Ferg Handley
Ferg Handley has been working as a professional comics writer for ten years.
He is currently scripting Spectacular Spider-Man (Panini) and Commando (D.C. Thomson),

Football Picture Library and Inferno (Games Workshop).
He is currently working on Marvel Heroes for Panini, and has produced six stories so far.

Inko
Inko is a talented UK-based Manga author / artist, creator of such gems as the three-volume publication
The Confession, the strip "Search & Avoid" (published in the anti-war comic The War)
and the horror-strip "Ookami" (in Tales of Terror). Injo is a prominent member of the Manga group
Umisen-Yamasen.

Frank Quitely
Widely considered to be one of the top comic-book artists in the business, Frank has drawn
All Star Superman, We3, New X-Men and JLA: Earth 2, (all written by his
frequent collaborator Grant Morrison), Missionary Man and Shimura (both for Judge Dredd Megazine),
The Authority, Sandman and Batman: The Scottish Connection, among many others.

Graeme Neil Reid
Graeme Neil Reid has been a working artist for nearly twenty years and was
active in British Small Press in the 90s. A collection of some of that work
called One Last Time is available. He has also produced work for Caliber,
Image and Desperado Comics plus an extensive list of commercial clients. |

Dave Shelton
Mr Shelton has been drawing and colouring in professionally since 1990 and, as yet,
has not starved to death as a result. Mr Shelton believes that there is no time of the day or night when it
is inappropriate to take a bath or to eat breakfast. He likes crosswords, comics and cricket and has never
owned a dog. Do not, under any circumstances, allow him to talk to you about pens.

Chi-Tan
Chie Kutsuwada - also known as Chi-Tan - is a rising young Manga star whose work has just been
published as a part of The Mammoth Book of Best New Manga 2. Chi-Tan's manga has been
shortlisted for the Manga Jiman competition organised by the Japanese Embassy. |
